Set in the heart of Llanfair Caereinion amidst rolling hills and a stone’s throw from the tumbling River Banwy, The Goat Hotel is the perfect base to explore this delightful part of Powys (Paradise of Wales). From the here you can easily explore the glorious Montgomeryshire borderlands and the mid Wales countryside with its many tourist attractions. There is plenty of free car parking available and we are open all day every day.

I have given 5 stars for the warm welcome from the landlord and his staff. The excellent food and beverages. The Goat is a very olde world pub, with creaky floors and olde world character. Even the locals in the bar were friendly.

Had a lovely meal, all made fresh, and a few pints of local Ale. Well laid out for Covid, very friendly Landlord and Staff. Well worth a visit if your in the area.

Are we family friendly?

A large room on the second floor overlooking the church with a double and a single bed in the main room. It also has a small side room with sofa (bed) and a television. It has a private bathroom and is ideal for families.
